The idea for the “Nordic Design” collection arose after a staff day at the Trapholt Museum of Modern Art and Design, where we saw an amazing special exhibition on Verner Panton. Several of us were deeply fascinated by his colourful universe.
This sparked our curiosity about what would happen if we let our designers interpret the theme of Nordic design; that is, make designs inspired by Nordic furniture design and architecture. They all embraced the idea, and the outcome is the “Nordic Design” collection.
“Nordic Design” is photographed in the beautiful Vilhelm Lauritzen Terminal at Copenhagen Airport. This stunningly beautiful modernist building was completed in 1939.
