Goose Girl Pullover
In the tale of the Goose Girl, a princess is tricked into switching places with her maid on the way to meet a prince. She is given the task of tending the geese with the Goose Boy, but every day she must beg the wind to blow the Goose Boy’s hat away while she braids her hair so the Goose Boy won’t pull her hair. With a broad braided cable, top-down seamless yoke construction, snap and button placket for easy over-the-head fitting, and sweet ribbed cuffs, you’ll have fun knitting this sweater for a little one.
Don’t let the name fool you! This sweet little sweater was inspired by The Goose Girl fairy tale, but it’s suitable for both boys and girls. You can also style it with the cable in the front or the back!
This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
