This lovely shrug is light to wear and easy to make! Here in Oregon we get such chilly seasons it’s all about layering. This shrug can be made with many different yarns held together. I suggest a nice mohair held with your favorite fingering. I used the single ply Madeintosh light + glitter because of its natural bloom as time goes by. It plays nicely with the kidsilk in the Tot’ le Matin. Let me suggest you hold it closed with a fun button, ribbon, or a shawl pin.

It is worked flat working back and forth in one piece from the top down. The edging is made by picking up stitches in the round and working a series of repeats in the Old Shale pattern. It gives it a lacey delicate touch. After blocking flat to your measurements, you will then mattress stitch two seams to create the sleeves. When creating sleeves you will be able to fit to your own body. When back is made smaller, sleeve length increases.
Knit, wear, repeat!
