errata Then on with WS facing, on end opposite button holes sl st in the corner, sc across, ch 2, turn. Repeat this row 5 times, fastening off at the end of the last row. Cut yarn and weave in all ends.
Finishing errata After blocking carefully fold your cowl so that it lies with the edges sitting in the diagonal instead of straight. Place your two larger buttons on the bottom layer. I also used two small clear buttons on the underside of the top layer where I could easily pop them through without using a button hole. These buttons make it easy to keep the edges in place as I found they started to fold when wearing with only the two larger buttons

This pattern was originally published as Knotty Lamb’s contribution to the 2019 Rose City Yarn Crawl, March 7-10, 2019 in Portland, Oregon. Each shop’s pattern(s) will be available free with purchase at that shop during the Rose City Yarn Crawl. All patterns will also be available for download individually or as part of our 2019 Collection: A Walk in the Park: 2019 Rose City Yarn Crawl Pattern Collection.

The inspiration for this crochet cowl was my favorite hiking trail, found at L.L. Stub Stewart State Park. It’s full of tricky switchbacks, lined with beautiful greenery. Oregon is so well known for its lush trees, bushes and wild growing things, thanks to all the rain and sun we get. This cowl spoke to me after my last walk in the park, and I just had to share it with you! This cowl is beginner level and above. I made it easy to follow for all levels to enjoy the fun-but-elegant pattern.
