• How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
• Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)
• Starting May 22nd, visit all the shops - online, or safely in person once that’s an option
• Each participating shop will give you the download codes for their pattern and a sticker or stamp for your passport (purchase required for virtual “visits”)

Actinolite is a beautiful, common green rock and as we are “rocking the PNW” during the 2020 Slow Yarn Crawl, I thought it was a great name for this lovely green shawl. I chose graduating leaves to decorate the shawl as the green PNW just begs for leaves too!

This fun shawl is based on the idea of a 6 pieces of 8 shape. The 3/4 circle allows the ends to sit on the shoulders a bit better than a triangular shawl or one based on a half circle. I placed yarnovers along the edge so you can add buttons, use the yarnovers as bottonholes, and turn it into a cowl. With a tab-cost on, staggered increases, and the option of wearing this shawl with buttons, I hope you will find the shawl challenging and yet fun to work!

Yarn: 1 Skein Purly Shell Hand Dyed, 437 yards, Alpaca, Silk, Cashmere, color Ever Never Green

Needle: US 5 (3.75 mm) Hiya Hiya circulars or needles to obtain gauge

Gauge: 6 stitches per inch (spi) and 8 rows per inch (rpi) OR 24 stitches & 32 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette
