I have been crocheting for over 30 years, teaching crochet for over a decade. My designs and articles have been published in published in various magazines and books, including Interweave Crochet, Crochet!, Vogue Crochet, Love of Crochet, Crochet 1-2-3, and Inside Crochet. My children are my Muses. I made my award winning Mystery Machine for my son, and my daughter’s favorite toys are her “yarny dollies”.

I published my first book, Rowan’s Learn To Crochet Sampler Afghan in memory of my first daughter, Rowan, to teach basic stitches while encouraging others to crochet blankets to donate like, the one we received when she was in the NICU. My Reversible Rowan Tree Vest, also created in her memory, won the Grand Prize at the 2012 CGOA Design Competition. My second book, Reversible Color Crochet: A New Technique explains the technique I developed for creating completely reversible colorwork in crochet, from Interweave Press.

I am currently designing for the Ficstitches Yarns Crochet Kit Clubs which led to my newest book, The Secret Stitch A Crochet Companion, a collection of accessories inspired by the stories from our first three Crochet Kit Clubs.
