I designed this festive blanket for West Yorkshire Spinners as a CAL last year.

The blanket was originally designed for Deramores, it was in different shades of blue and my inspiration was taken from the stunning Lisbon Tiles. I have updated the blanket using only two yarns. 

I have collaborated with The Scottish Yarn Festival on this shawl for Yarningham. Their yarns are absolutely stunning and a joy to crochet with.

These fab and cosy crochet sock are a great project to keep your tootsies nice and warm. If you have never crocheted socks before, this is the perfect opportuninty.

This lovely hat is knitted in the round using the Fair Isle technique, with breaks in between of plain and purl rows. The pattern repeats are easily memorised which result in rather quick and enjoyable knit.

With Christmas just around the corner, we have the perfect crochet project! A choice of three stockings by Anna Nikipirowicz, crocheted in our beautiful Fleece Bluefaced Leicester Aran Roving yarn. Hook these up and hang in your home, ready to be filled with Christmas treats and surprises!

All the wonderful colours of Piccadilly, one of my favourite places in London.

Hampstead Heath in one of the best places in London where you can see a sunset. When I was making one of the cushions cover and the yarn starting to show all those lovely stripes it reminded me of the sunset on Hampstead Heath.

I designed this pattern originally for Crochet Society subscription box, it was called Meadow Sweet Shawl. It was made in Bella Coco’s lovely yarn, which unfortunately isn’t commercially available.

This playful shawlette was designed for The Midnight Dyery’s Christmas Eve Box. You can now purchase the pattern individually.

Gusset note: when you are working stitches into the sides of heel flap, work one stitch approximately in every other row, so that’s 11, (12, 13) sts evenly on each edge of heel flap.

These super comfortable crochet socks are worked toe-up with an afterthought heel.

These adorable decorations are super fun and quick to make, they look great as a garland or as individual decorations.

Sway is a beautiful shawl that starts at the top in the centre, expanding into triangular shape and ending with gentle lace. The way the shawl is worked causes the centre of the shawl to sway, well lean to one side, but sway sounds better as a name :). The whole triangular goodness is finished off with playful tassels.

These cosy mittens are worked from the cuff, which is worked flat then seemed. Stitches for the body of the mittes are worked in raw ends of cuff, which is worked in waistcoat stitch. The colourwork pattern is worked using Fair Isle technique. The stitches are picked up for the thumb at the end.

This very cosy triangular shawl in knitted on the bias as a sideways triangle. The centred bottom point and the curved top edge makes it a very comfortable shawl to wear.

‘Love in every stitch’ is a phrase crafters use a lot to describe the sentiment of the slow textiles movement and the craft of hand knitting, especially when making something for the people or places that matter to us.
