Every year for my cats’ birthday I try to create something special for them. This year I decided to knit these stylish neckerchiefs, perfect for a handsome cat around town. Ollie and Brick have been wearing them now for few weeks and I like to think they like them, well….Brick has been grooming his one a lot.

The neckerchiefs are knitted separately and then attached to a standard cat collar, this is a lot safer for the cat.

However I do recommend supervising your cat when wearing this neckerchief.

You can use any standard pet collar to attach the neckerchief to. My cats are indoor cats therefore I have chosen to use the elasticated collar, however if you have an outdoor cat you might consider collar with break-away safety buckle.

The pattern contains full picture tutorials on how to Swiss darn the fish and paw prints and how to create the plaid effect on the stripy neckerchief.
