The Rooted Collection is a collection of patterns designed specially with our Rooted yarn. Each pattern is named after one of the Alpaca living on Rocky Hill Farm. To learn more about the yarn and the farm, please visit www.kismetfiberworks.com/rootedyarn.

Rooted Yarn is minimally processed. It has not been scoured with harmful detergents. We have left it undyed, so the yarn you buy is the natural color of the alpaca that grew it. It feels alive and organic in your hands as you work with it. This is a small batch yarn, meaning once it’s sold, that is all for the year, until the alpacas grow more!

We’ll just say it: this is special yarn, yarn with a story. We wanted special patterns to go with it-patterns that highlight the unique qualities of it. We chose a team of designers whose work we admire and who we trust to take our Rooted Yarn and make it really shine. We are so thrilled with the results of their design genius. Each pattern is so perfectly paired with Rooted Yarn. Our hope is that as you use this yarn, you will feel a closeness to the source of the fiber that keeps you entertained, happy and warm!
