A good basic sock is almost always on my needles. I love ribbing or stockinette for that basic sock. It’s easy, it’s comforting, and you just can’t beat a comforting, comfortable sock.

I used a contrasting color for the cuff, heel, and toe to give this sock a bit of pizzazz. You could knit this sock in one color, but I love the idea of using up little bits of yarn for the contrast color. I also chose a modified wide toe, but you could knit a more traditional square toe or even a star toe.

This pattern is meant for a novice knitter to an advanced knitter and all those in between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
