The Woodmother Scarf
by Emma Olson
This is a cozy, striped, granny stitch scarf perfect for beginners/adventurous beginners.
One size / Finished measurements: 7” wide & 65” long (excluding fringe)
Gauge is 5 clusters & 11 rows in 4” (10cm) in the granny stitch using a size US H hook.
You will need about 200 yds of each color (for most worsted weight yarns, 1 skein of each color will be plenty), slightly less if you are not interested in adding the fringe.
Stitches/Techniques used:
- Foundation single crochet (pattern includes alternate instructions for doing a standard foundation chain, but it really does look better if you can learn the FSC technique). Links are provided for tutorials on learning the technique.
- Granny Stitch (double crochet clusters)
