The rond de jambe is a movement in ballet where the leg moves in a circle before or during a jump. The cirular movement of the stitch pattern in this sock put me in mind of this particular ballet move. While the sock pattern may look difficult, it is achieved through very approachable increases and decreases on the sides of the pattern. It can be a bit tricky to navigate the movement of the pattern from the front to the back of the sock and as a result I am recommending this sock for an intermediate knitter. A truly adventurous advanced novice knitter could find this pattern to be attainable.

This pattern is meant for an intermediate knitter to an advanced knitter and all those in between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
