SIZING

• Garment bust measures 31.75 (35.25, 38.25, 41.25, 44.75, 46.75, 50, 53.25, 56.5) ins around when worn closed.
• Intended for slight positive ease of 2-3 ins. Choose size which suits your comfort and preference. Shown in 4th size with 3 ins positive ease.

GAUGE
• 18 sts and 26 rows over 4 ins/10cm in stockinette stitch on
4.5mm/US #7 needles, OR needle size required to obtain this gauge.
• 15 sts in Chart 2 (Crossed Cable) measures 2.75 ins on 4.5mm
needles.
• For best results knit and wash a gauge swatch before proceeding.
You may need to use a different needle size to obtain indicated gauge.

MATERIALS
• Georgian Bay Fibre Co. Bayfield Aran 100% bluefaced leister wool,
182m/200yds per 115g/4oz skein, 6(6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10) skeins (shown in ‘McEwan Wrought Iron’ colourway), OR preferred worsted weight wool yarn which knits to gauge
• 4.5mm/US #7 needles OR needle size required to obtain gauge
• 4.0mm/US #6 needles OR needle size one size smaller than that required for gauge, including one 24- 32” circular for working the collar

• 6 buttons, 7/8th”/ 2cm wide OR desired number of buttons for cardigan front
• cable needle (unless working cables without cable needle)
