My Crochet Kitchen: Asparagus
Did you know the growing season for asparagus is just a few short weeks each Spring? But now you can crochet yourself some high-fibre veggies last the whole year round!
This is an intermediate pattern because although many of the stitches are beginner friendly, the tips of the asparagus stems are more unusual and will require a bit of focus.
The spears are crocheted in continuous rounds so you’ll find it helpful to use stitch markers to keep track of where you are.
There’s a detailed photo tutorial throughout to demonstrate techniques used, stitch placement and any trickier steps.
When complete, your asparagus spears should measure roughly 5.5” / 14cm in length, depending on your chosen yarn and how tightly you crochet.
These veggies use minimal amounts of yarn so they make great little stash busters!
