Morelia Scrubbies and Basket Set Pattern UK and US Terms.

The Morelia pattern creates a beautiful floral scrubbie with a matching basket that perfectly fits 7 scrubbies. Scrubbies are approx. 8cm wide / 3.2”, basket is approx. 11cm wide / 4.4” wide.

The instructions provided can be used to recreate the design as pictured, or you can simply use the pattern to create your own custom design.

The pattern comes as a 7 page PDF download, with comprehensive instructions.

Instructions include -

• Step by step photos for the scrubbies, basket base, and lid.
• Guidance to customise the width and height to your taste.

This pattern is easy enough to be used by a confident beginner, yet still interesting enough to be enjoyed by an intermediate crocheter.

Stitches used are -
(US Terms) CH, SC, HDC, 2DCCL, 3DCCL, 4DCCL
(UK Terms) CH, DC, HTR, 2TRCL, 3TRCL, 4TRCL
* written instruction included in the pattern for the CL - Cluster stitches.

You will need two balls of 50gm Cotton yarn to make a complete two-tone set as the basket is made holding two strands of DK yarn together. If you want a single colour basket you will need two balls of the same 50gm yarn to double strand the basket (approx. 60gm for the basket. A set of scrubbies uses approx. 40gm.

You will need a 4mm hook for the basket and a 3.5mm hook for the scrubbies (although if you don’t have a 3.5mm hook you can use the 4mm for the scrubbies also).
