The sweater is knitted in the round, top down.
Short rows are worked to heighten the neckline.
Before dividing for the body and sleeves, a narrow strip with a lattice pattern is knitted over the stitches of the sleeves.
Both the body and sleeves are finished with a wide garter stitch border.
The neckline is worked last in reverse stockinette stitch.

Marble is a simple design, but the sweater features monumental, feminine, slouchy sleeves that give it character. The inspiration comes from Modernism, which took hold of Danish society,
including its architects, around 1930. In Denmark, modernism is synonymous with functionalism.
Function was seen as the main purpose of design, ruling out decoration and ornamentation in favour of clean, minimalist shapes.
