The sweater is knitted in the round on circular needles, top down. The neckline is identical on both the front and the back, but the ribbed collar, which is added at the end, is worked with short rows that raise the back of the collar.
Ribbed panels are worked along the raglan seams and down the body and slanted side slits, while a horizontal textured pattern is knitted over the remaining sts.
The ribbing edges are bound off using the Italian bindoff method.

The inspiration for the sweater is taken from a quote by the architect Bodil Kjær: ‘Furniture is, for me, a frame around the human being, a place where one can take it easy, relax, and really feel comfortable.’
Element is a soft sweater that you just want to move into and be enveloped by.
