Know a “Dude” but don’t have time for a Dude sweater?

This is a pattern for a one-size (adult) stranded hat loosely based off of the famous Dude sweater as seen in the movie The Big Lebowski. It is worked from the bottom up.

Materials:

Needles:

• Size US 4/3.5 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, in a 16” circular and DPNs (if desired) for crown shaping.
• Size US 3/3.25 mm, or one size smaller, in a 16” circular for ribbing, if desired.

Yarn:
Sport weight yarn in the following colors/quantities:

• Cream Color (MC); approximately 130 yards
• Dark Brown (CC1); approximately 50 yards
• Light Brown (CC2); approximately 25 yards
