Hammerhead Shark
This big knitted shark ain’t so scary, and is perfect for cuddles. You can knit your very own Hammerhead with this knitting pattern. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the shark is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, stitch holders, and toy safety eyes.
SIZES
One size only - 43cm long.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, holding live stitches on a stitch holder, pick up and knit along an edge, and seaming to finish.
