The Fagales Hat is a spin-off of the leaf stitch pattern, I also used on the Fagales fingerless gloves. Fagales are an order of flowering plants, including the beech and birch trees. Both the beech and the birch are found in many places in Scandinavia, and both trees have beautiful ribbed leaves. The beautiful stitch pattern on the hat leads the thoughts towards these trees wonderful foliage. The Fagales Hat is not only pretty, but will also keep your head warm on cold days.

The hat is completely reversible, so you actually end up with two hats after just knitting one.
