John Arbon Exmoor Sock (90 % wool, 10 % nylon; 50 g, 200 m / 1.76 oz, 219 yds) or other fingering weight yarn to meet gauge in three different colours

The sample mittens are worked in John Arbon Exmoor Sock in size Small. The colours used for the sample are Mizzle, Hemel, and Mackerel-Sky. Most sock yarns will work fine.
The pattern includes estimated yardage for each colour in each size.

Gauge and needles
33 sts × 35 rounds = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) worked in colourwork stockinette stitch the round on larger needles, after washing

Recommended needle sizes are 2.25 mm (US 1) and 2.75 mm (US 2) for the colourwork parts.
