Dori Mittens
This simple mitten is the perfect first mitten pattern for knitters who are already comfortable working cables. There aren’t any tricky gusset stitches to deal with here! The stitch pattern is interesting enough to keep you from being bored, but simple enough not to need too much brain power. They are comfortable, quick to work, and look great! There are options in this pattern for both a fingerless mitten and a closed-top mitten.
If you have never worked a thumb before, don’t despair! Here is a helpful video I made to walk you through the thumb section. You can do this!

The sizing on this pattern span from a small woman up to a large man. Make sure you check your palm measurement to ensure you are casting on for the right size! This unisex pattern looks just as great on a man as it does on a woman. If you aren’t into closed mitten tops, you can opt for a fingerless mitt!
