Boyne Lass Cardigan
This is the quintessential cardigan: cozy, warm, comfortable, button-down, and seamless. This is the cardigan you can live in and wear every day! Subtle waist shaping gives it an understated feminine line.
This cardigan is very simple; it is comprised of basic stitches to make a lovely pattern so you can knit it up quickly and easily. The pattern stitches on the front, sleeves, and back can easily be switched out for different patterns or omitted for a more basic cardigan. This is a really versatile jumping-off point!
I have also created a supplement to the pattern called “Boyne Lass Pocket Instructions”. The pockets are worked contiguously, meaning they are worked completely in line with the main knitting, so there is absolutely no seaming! Do pockets without seams seem too good to be true? Go ahead and give it a try! I know you’ll be pleased.
Please print these instructions out and use them if you want to work pockets inline with the knitting. They will be worked as you knit up the body of the garment so if you want pockets, go download the pocket instructions and look them over before you begin knitting.
The pattern is written with 1” – 2”/2.5 - 5 cm positive ease. If you prefer a tighter fit, you may consider bumping down a size!
