Dandelion halo is the most romantic headband you can imagine. It is a double reversible headband, worked seamless in the round with delicate pattern of nupps and slip stitch chains. Combination of fingering weight alpaca or merino yarn with 2 strands of silk mohair gives it a luxurious halo.

Yarn
One strand and approx. 20 (25, 30) g of Isager Alpaca 2, 50% alpaca and 50% merino with 250 m (270 yds) in 50 g skein (shown in shade 3)
held together with 2 strands and approx. 20 (25, 30) g of Filcolana Tilia, 70% kid mohair and 30% silk with 210 m (230 yds) in 25 g skein (shown in shade 136).

Or any other similar yarn(s) to match the gauge. For the sample featured in Volokno magazine we substituted Isager Alpaca 2 with Filcolana Anina (100% merino).

Needles and Notions
Two pairs of 4.0 mm (US 6) 40 cm (16 in) cable needles or a set of 20 cm (8 in) double-pointed needles; 4.0 mm (G) crochet hook for provisional cast on and grafting; stitch marker; scrap yarn for provisional cast-on.

Gauge
18 sts and 25 rows in 10 cm/4 in with stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles in the round after steam blocking. Adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
