Charming blouse
This “charming and unusual design” for “larger sizes” features narrow dolman sleeves and horizontal bust darts made by casting off stitches, casting back on and sewing a seam. Back and fronts are made separately with sleeves knitted in horizontally, then collar, crocheted edging (simple round picots) and ribbed button bands are added at the end.
7 sts to the inch in fingering yarn, 9 (10) ounces main colour and 1 ounce contrasting colour for the crocheted edgings. Original calls for White with Lilac Flower 237 for contrast.
to fit 37-38 (39-41) inch bust, finished sleeve length 14 inches, finished length from top of shoulders, 20 (20 1/2) inches.
