Knitting Pattern for an oversize Vest with Trendy Statement Stripes Pattern created with Crochet Slip Stitches in Sizes XS | S | M (L| XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL

Structure:
The vest is worked in stockinette stitch back and forth in rows, top down in one piece. Start with the back part and work the back part in stockinette stitch with increases to shape the armholes. Afterwards, stitches are picked up along the back part to work the front panels. The front parts
are worked separately in stockinette stitch with the same armhole increases like you have worked for the back part before. Additionally, you work increases to shape the V Neck of the vest. When all increases are worked, the parts are joined by casting-on new stitches under the armpits. Afterwards, the vest is finished in stockinette stitch in rows in one piece and with a hem in 1x1 ribbing with twisted stitches. Now, the front panels and the neckline are finished off with a double folded button band in 1x1 twisted ribbing. The buttons are sewn to the other side of the button band. Then, the armholes will be finished off with a double folded hem in 1x1 twisted ribbing as well – matching the double folded button band of the vest. The entire body of the vest is worked in a pattern of statement stripes. After finishing the knitting part of this design, you will crochet vertical lines with crochet slip stitches on the surface of your vest to create a modern checked pattern. The fit of the vest is oversized and loose around the bust – making it perfect as a layer over sweaters on cooler spring and autumn days.
