Knitting Pattern in Collaboration with Katia Yarns for an Oversize-Sweater with Colorful Statement Stripes, a Boxy Fit with Drop Shoulders, Wide Balloon Sleeves and a Classic Round Neck in with a Double Folded Collar in Sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL.

Structure:
The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch top down in one piece. First, the back part is worked back and forth in rows and with an eye-catching pattern of statement-stripes. There are a few increases to shape the armholes, then the stitches of the back part are put to rest. Now, the front panels are worked separately to shape the round neck with increases. When the parts are joined along the neckline, the front part is finished with increases for the armholes. Now, back and front part are joined under the armpits to the round and the sweater is finished in stockinette stitch in the round with 6 (or more, if preferred) statement stripes in 6 different contrast colours. Before binding off the body sts, a hem in 1x1 ribbing is attached to the body. Now, stitches are picked up along the armholes and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round with statement stripes. Shortly before the cuffs, you will work a bunch of decreases for a balloon-like sleeve shape. Then, the sleeves are finished off with cuffs in 1x1 ribbing. Last, but not least, a double folded collar in ribbing is worked along the round neck.
The fit of the sweater is heavily oversized, the sleeves are voluminous, the length is relatively short. The pattern of statement stripes creates an eye-catching look and leaves room to play with colour and colour contrasts.
