I look forward to afternoons in the school year for a few reasons. First, I get to knit with one of my favorite people at school pickup everyday. Then, when I get home, I get to change into my comfy lounging clothes and hang out with my littles. These socks are perfect portable knitting, and once they’re knit they are the socks you’ll want to wear when you get home at the end of the day.

These socks are knit toe up, and have a short row heel and shaping at the back of the leg. They can be knit with sport or DK weight yarn, just adjust needle size according to yarn weight.

Sizes:
Small (S) – 6.5-7.5” (16.5-19cm) foot circumference
Medium (M) – 7.5-8.5” (19-21.5cm) foot circumference
Large (L) – 8.5-9.5” (21.5-24cm) foot circumference
Materials:
• 75-115g sport or DK weight yarn
• Size US2, US2.5, or US3 (2.75mm, 3.0mm, 3.25mm) 40” circular needle for magic loop. Determine needle size with gauge swatch, or based on yarn weight. US2 (2.75mm) for sport, US2.5 (3.0mm) for light DK, US3 (3.25mm) for heavier DK.
