The 2 ply twist gives this yarn strength and a unique character accentuating stitch definition. This is my favorite for hand painted yarns that need to show off colour rather than the pattern. It is my go-to yarn when I just want to knit socks and not think socks, knowing that I will always be pleased when they are done.
