This yarn is made from Icelandic fleeces from sheep who are all raised on small farms in the Chesapeake Watershed. Icelandic sheep have a dual coat, meaning that they have an outer coat, called “tog” and an undercoat, call “thel”. This yarn is surprisingly soft, and felts wonderfully. The yarn comes in natural fleece colors as well as nature dyed colors.
