This gorgeous singles yarn is 100% Highland Wool from Peru. Peruvian Highland Wool comes from a crossbreed sheep that lives in the Peruvian highlands at over 2,000m above sea level. These crossbreed animals derive from Corridale and Merinos, and the environment in which they live allow them to produce a wool that is very dry, crimpy and durable.

Its micron ranges from 24.5 mic to 28.5 mics which is very low and produces an incredibly soft yarn. Simplicity is the key for designing and using this yarn. It looks stunning in a plain stocking stitch, which shows off the softness and the smoothness of the yarn. However, the soft palette of neutrals, with the contrasting black and grey also offer up a huge range of possibilities for colour and pattern working.
