Provincial Tweed

With bright colors and subtle tweedy neps, this surprisingly soft yarn brings an exuberant and folksy charm to our selection of tweeds. The Fine Highland fiber has a soft hand with plenty of drape, but retains the solid structure of wool, making this perfect for cabling. Each colorway is created by spinning together a lighter and darker tone of the same color, which knits up into a surprisingly uniform fabric with wonderful depth of color. Neutral Donegal neps bring a distinct visual texture. Donegal is a series of viscose neps (think slubs or bits of lint) that are suspended in a very fine acrylic mesh which allows them to be spun alongside the longer wool. With such rich colors and that signature look of tweed, you have a vibrant and rustic yarn with plenty of charm.
