Cymry (kĭm′rē) is the Celtic word for the Welsh people. When this yarn was being named, I spoke with my mother in law and mentioned how I wanted to name this after the Welsh, being that I am Welsh. Through an interesting turn of events, the woman she works for has a small business called Cymry Gardens. To me this was kismet.
So I give you Cymry, a beautiful squishy 100% Superwash Merino, which I prefer for lightweight sweaters, colorwork, and shawls or scarves. This yarn is a fantastic workhorse and has a long life, with minimal pilling.
