Basilisk is a bulky weight silk/merino yarn, beautifully plied for a lovely sheen. This is not a yarn to toy with. I know a woman who bought six skeins and promptly called in sick to work for the week so she could knit a Clapotis. Don’t underestimate Basilisk’s hold over you.
