This is my Advent scarf for 2020. It is a rectangular scarf. It is modular, knit in garter stitch of mitred squares. Dig into your fingering weight leftovers and gather as many or as few colours as you would like. My intention is for this year’s scarf to be colourful and cheerful in what has been a challenging year for all.

The theme this year for my advent scarf is Mosaic. This is a continuous pattern as opposed to a stitch sampler scarf. The mosaic pattern is going to slowly mutate as the pattern progresses, so that the end of the scarf will be different from the start.

This is my advent scarf for 2014. This scarf will measure 8.5 inches wide and approximately 80 inches long. The gauge is 6 stitches to the inch on a 3.5mm needle over garter stitch unblocked. You will need 2 skeins of KFI Indulgence with Cashmere or any suitable self striping yarn.

The scarf is worked in mitered squares, 2 per row with a total of 24 rows and 48 squares. The sawtooth edging is worked along each edge once the scarf is complete. The scarf uses 4 balls of Taos for a scarf measuring 8.5 inches wide and 75 inches long.

This is a beaded sock that I designed for Mountain Knits and Pearls as a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness month in October of 2007. I will continue to donate $1.00 to Breast Cancer Awareness in my community for each pattern sold. The beads are prestrung and knit in place according to a chart.
