Another birdie variation!

Thinking about a gift that is fast to crochet? These cuties little friends are the answer! There are two different patterns:

Birds are such beautiful creatures and so special. I really like them. This is a little project to use some yarn from your stash. A fast and cute gift.

Halloween is around the corner.

This is the second design I’ve made for my daughter’s dolls.

The design process is strange: sometimes I want something with a modern look and I finish with a retro piece. This is one of those times.

Although my favorite craft is crochet, the last years I’ve been learning others techniques.

Most of my designs are requests from the boys and girls in my circle of friends and family.

Who doesn’t like seahorses?

Some months ago I saw a yarn called Cleany (Schachenmayr), especially designed for making scrubbers and similar things.

Spring is here, although somedays it seems we are in winter. Nevertheless colorful garments and accessories keep calling my attention! I bought this ribbon yarn with these bright colors and I knew that I had to give a go to the idea I had in my head!

In the last year I’ve fallen in love with gradient yarns.

IMPORTANT COMMENT: there is a seller in Etsy using my photos to sell a Poppy doll’s pattern. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT.

I designed this shawl for someone very special for me. Now she is a grown-up girl, but I’ve known her since she was born.

In the last months I’ve fallen in love with gradient yarns. If you look to some of my last designs, you will see some of the yarns I’ve used. In September, my sister gave me some skeins of this yarn and I’ve created this shawl using the traditional granny worked in a different way.

In June, I crocheted a big bunny (35-40cm tall) for my daughter: Bicho Bunny. Now, during the Christmas Holidays, she asked me for a little brother for her Bicho. I’ve come up with this cutie.

Every year I like to crochet something related with Christmas. This year is the time for a Santa Claus inspired doll.

I had in my stash this Sirdar yarn for sometime now. ‘m trying to make some space for new yarns :-) or at least some space in my storage room.

I had this lovely filorosa yarn and after making a sweater for my sister last summer, I wanted one for me.

This is my take in Pikachu. It is very big.

Some months ago I found a technique called corner to corner crochet (C2C). I loved the idea and tried it in this scarf. I know it is usually used for crocheting blankets, specially pixel blankets, but I wanted to crochet something different using this technique.

I love gradient yarns. The one I used for this shawl is soft and the color changes are very subtle.

A small clover for embellish whatever you want!

Tunisian crochet is one of my favorites crochet techniques. I think the final fabri is very good for amigurumis.

Koalas are lovely creatures.

This is the second year in a row that my daughter goes to a school camp. She likes to have a special toy with her to remind all the family. This year I crocheted a bunny. She called it Bicho (Spanish word for bug, but it also means naughty but not in a bad way).

I bought this yarn many years ago. it has been sleeping in my stash and finally its time has come!

This summerish scarf or shawlette is fast to crochet.

This tunic/sweater is fresh and funky. The beads come with the yarn.

This sweater is stretchy and comfy. Easy to wear on fresh summer nights.

When my daughter was a baby, I crocheted her a blanket. It’s quite big, so she wraps with it even now (she is 11 years old now). But it’s the right time to make her a new one.

This winter season I wanted to renew some of my sweaters, I went shopping and I couldn’t find what I wanted. Maybe it was out there, but my dreamed sweater/pullover wasn’t anywhere to be seen.

One of the things I like the most in crochet world is crocheting dolls. Body, arms, legs, head and hair. Even when I re-crochet some pattern, the final result is not the same, those small details: a mouth slightly bigger or happier can define the success or failure of a work of many hours.

This doll has taken me a lot of time to finish. I feel very happy with the result.

How I like loopy yarns!

Some years ago I wrote a pattern for an isosceles triangle. Working five of them and joining them: we have this hat!

Last July, Marcos was born. I wanted to make him something special. This is the first of my desings for Marco.

Last summer my daughter gave her first steps in crochet. This summer I would like her to crochet something easy that she can be proud of. As she loves all kinds of animals I thought an octopus would be a good option.

This is not a pattern … these are two patterns!

My daughter loves dogs. She asked me for a pug and I gave her this … It is clear this dog is not a pug, but I think he is lovely without a doubt! This week she is in a camp and this buddy is with her and her friends.

Inside Out, what a great movie for children and adults alike!

Most of my amigurumis are designed with their future owner in mind. This time is no exception. Tomorrow is Alex’s birthday, this will be one of his gifts.

What can be said about Star Wars? I grew up watching the ‘old’ Star Wars and now my children, both the girl and the boy, love the ‘new’ Star Wars.

Second puppy pattern. It began as a variant of puppy love and soon won a proper personality!

My bestfriend’s daughter loves every kind of cats. Her fith birthday is very close, so I’m preparing her some kitten surprises!

My daughter has decided she wants to be a cet when she grows up (she is now 10 years old!): first step: she wants to be take care of manyyyy puppies!

The little recipient of Paddington bear is also a Snoopy fan.

This furry friend is cuddly, soft, lovable, … a real cutie!

This is my second Minion. Some parts are the same as in my previous pattern: shoes, legs, hands and the way the trousers and body are joined. The glasses/googles, the eye … are different.

I had some white and yellow yarn from previous projects and as my daughter was asking for a (real) cat I decided to give her a toy cat!

I wanted a doll wearing trousers and with a retro feeling.

My inspiration for the shawl came from one of the dresses in my wardrobe: a perfect combination of a plain color and lots of circles at the front.

One of my niece’s friends is a Mario fan: he wears t-shirts, ha has many Mario video games. He is crazy about him!. This boy is very special and I thought a giant Mario would be a good birthday’s gift.

Maybe my cowl obsession is going to far …

An hour and a half is all you need to add a new cowl to your wardrobe!

I really love this yarn: it is soft and extra-bulky. The scarf works up beautifully.

Naturalia is a rustic but cozy yarn, ìt is perfect for a cowl.

I enjoy the puff stitch so much! that after the block ant the cowl I went for a poncho.

My sister asked my for a poncho, but that could move her hands freely. So, this tunisian pattern was born.

I’ve made some scarfs from other designers using mittered squares. They were so fun and easy to make! They inspired me and I thought that a mittered rectangle would be nice, then I thought how to change it into a shawl: decreasing rectangles …

I’ve named this scarf purple rain because it is purple :-) and the increased number of chains give a rain effect.

This pattern was born when my son asked for a Minion. There are many patterns here in Ravelry, but I wanted something extralarge …

I really like the ripple or chevron stitch. During the last months I’ve been crocheting many items using the Tunisian crochet technique.

This bug-eyes fish is a very good friend of this lovely jellyfish. They play together and share their love for bright and warm colors.

This jellyfish is easier to crochet than its sister Jelly the jellyfish. Its colors reminds me of the summer and the sun.

Pinka is the third alien or critter or strange creature that I’ve made. It’s my favourite by far. I wanted Pinka to be big, so I used a chunky yarn. It’s a cushion-pillow like toy.

This is my second critter. I designed this for my son.

I wanted to crochet a non-scary critter for my children. This is the result. I hope you enjoy it.
