The Soul of the Rose Collection shawls are all inspired by the painting ‘Soul of the Rose’ by John William Waterhouse.

Inspired by the soaring columns and peaks of St Vitus cathedral in Prague Castle, this shawl can be worked to any size - make a grand edifice, or a cosy little sanctuary. It is a triangular shawl with a simple lace repeat, and a delicate picot edging.

Hemigraphis is a floral shawl/shawlette with a triangular centre and wide semi-circular knitted on border. The border shaping uses short rows, and the two colours are carried the length of the edging with a floral band worked using both yarns held together. The floral band sits comfortably around the shoulders.

Radler is a semi-circular shawl, reminiscent of a bicycle wheel. It is designed to be knitted to any size. Leadlight is a semi-circular shawl knitted from the top down. It is an all-over lace shawl with a three stitch garter edging; the lace is knitted on the right side only. It has both written instructions and charts. The lace patterns are relatively simple, but the structure adds a bit of a twist.
