Being a modern woman is very demanding. Working, caring for our loved ones, we try to catch some time in-between for ourselves. When I have a while for myself I love to knit. It is a moment to relax and to be with my thoughts. I want to make something beautiful, something rewarding and not too complicated. Knitting an accessory seems to be a perfect solution. It is ready up-in-the-minute for a special occasion, when I want to knit someone a gift or make something to feel feminine and sophisticated. I love to work with hand dyed yarn, therefore I am really happy that this mini collection has been created in collaboration with Julie Asselin. It contains three designs: a hat, fingerless mittens and a shawl.

Super Farnese is a modern triangle-shaped shawl named after the amazing Farnese gardens on Palatine Hill, Rome. This design is a younger sister of the Farnese shawl. I wondered if I could knit the same lace stitch pattern in bulky yarn. Super Farnese is an answer to this question, and the result is stunning!

Farnese Cowl is a sister pattern to the Farnese shawl. The cowl is designed to create the effect of a triangular shawl but is very easy to style and wear. The cowl takes its name from the amazing Farnese gardens on Palatine Hill in Rome. I was very inspired after visiting the gardens when they were in full bloom in June.

These ankle-length socks are adorned with a lace motif that mimics the shapes and structures of citrus slices. They are perfect for the summer — “lato” in Polish.
