Mystery sock for the Sock Knitters Anonymous, March 2012

I love to wear long skirts with my ankle high boots, even on the coldest days in winter. There is always a little bit of my leg not covered while walking. I designed these boot toppers to comfort that part of my legs from the chill and add a nice accent to my outfit. You can wear them long or folded double.

The pattern is currently only available in Dutch.

Never have to mind again if socks are worn the ‘right’ way?

End 2009, the members of the Yahoo-group ‘’Sokken Breien’’ (knitting socks) walked their sock path. A mystery sock, with instructions in four seperate parts that eventually formed the complete pattern. These adventurers didn’t know at the start where the path would lead them…

To design a simple yet stylish sock for men, using twisted stitches, was one of my intentions for 2009.

Note: Pattern calls for 50-70 grams of yarn

A tiny cable and a little ladder will form a delicate border around the decorative panel filled with eyes, cables and knot work. I recommend using a solid, natural color or a semi-solid yarn for this pair of socks to show this detailed sock at best.

Basic toe-up sock with heelflap pattern;

I loved designing and knitting this pair of socks so much, I decided to share the pattern with you. These socks have a striking twisted pattern of leaves enclosing a diamond in a decorative border of eyes on top of the feet. The back of the leg is knitted in a ktbl/purl rib with three subtle 2-stitch cables.
