You can make this cat in one color, or have fun making a patchwork cat with different colors! The head and body are all one piece, so there’s a little less sewing. The pattern comes with a coloring page, so you can try out different color combos before you start working!

Worsted weight yarn – 2 ounces in main color, small amount of coordinating color for spikes. Small amount of white for eyes and toenails, black for mouth and eyes. .7 oz for skirt. Small amount of silver or gold yarn for crown.

Hat is worked with an H hook for a better drape. There are holes in the bottom of the hat for the cow’s horns to fit through.

Worked with Stonewash yarn, finished dog is about 12” long and 7” tall. I finished two dogs from a single skein.

Takes small quantities of white for body (about 2 ounces), and less than an ounce for swim trunks, towel, and shirt. A short color change ombre works well to make a tropical shirt.
