You can make this cat in one color, or have fun making a patchwork cat with different colors! The head and body are all one piece, so there’s a little less sewing. The pattern comes with a coloring page, so you can try out different color combos before you start working!

This dinosaur is based on a drawing from my six-year-old granddaughter, Aliya. She will receive a commission on pattern sales, which she will probably use to buy more art supplies! She loves to draw!

Hug-Bots can be made with any worsted weight yarn… be creative with your color choices and accents! You could make with other weights of yarn… just use a hook small enough so stuffing doesn’t show through your stitches.

Uses half an ounce of colors for face, shirt and pants. Small amounts of various colors needed for shoes, legs, collar, belly spikes and hat.

Worked with Stonewash yarn, finished dog is about 12” long and 7” tall. I finished two dogs from a single skein.

Takes small quantities of white for body (about 2 ounces), and less than an ounce for swim trunks, towel, and shirt. A short color change ombre works well to make a tropical shirt.
