Knitting: Pullover
It looks like a traditional top, then you turn around the see the buttons up the back, Leave the bottom few open for ease in wearing.
Knitting: Vest
Saturday. The day when you can do as you wish, not as you must, including what you decide to wear. Worked in cool, easy care linen Drama, you may find yourself wearing this one on other days too.
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
Knit holding Comfort (cottonball) and Contemplation (linen lace) together. This gives you a large needle knit in an easy stockinette stitch. It is a sweater you will never take off.
Knitting: Tee
The gentle rib pattern for the body results in a waist shaping that is just perfect. A suggestion of body curve that is very flattering, and does not involve decreases and increases.
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
Both yarns, Comfort and Contemplation are held together. The Contemplation adds a bit of stability to the Comfort (cotton) and the result is a wonderfully weighty fabric with lots of drape. If you live in the south and cannot wear wool, this is a perfect winter garment for you. I think of it as a southern sweatshirt.
Knitting: Cowl
A truly monstrous cowl. Knit with 8 skeins of Addiction (fingering yarn) in 8 different colors. It is almost sculptural with all the different components. Starts out easily enough and gradually becomes more interesting. Have fun knitting & wearing.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Two skeins are required of the Simple Fishnet Shawl; if you want to do the Interwoven Fishnet Shawl version (also included in the pattern), it requires four skeins total. The Claudia Hand Painted Yarns used in the model are Midnight (MC) and Ocean Depth (CC). Size 10 beads were used, but are optional.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
“One of my most favorite entries in the ‘Shawl the Love’ Contest came from Regina,” notes Claudia. “I have taken liberties with her design and offer you the ‘Regina Wrap.’ It is a playful combination of color and form.”
Knitting: Scarf
Fabulous in either multi-colored or almost-solid colorways. Model is knit in ‘Corruption.’
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The fabulous doll depicted in the photo was made by our model Ashley’s grandmother.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern is sold together with Roundabout gloves and the price quoted is for two patterns. Great opportunity to get two patterns in one.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Fingering or Fingering 55 is suggested. Model is knit in ‘Oops.’
Knitting: Mittens, Beanie, Toque
The pattern suggests using two skeins (one for hat, one for mittens) of Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Single Ply Feltable OR using 1.5 skeins for hat and 1.25 skeins for mittens of Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Chunky Merino.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
You can make these fun and comfortable gloves with just one skein of this soft and beautiful yarn by Claudia Hand Painted Yarns. Choose from many gorgeous colors and match your wardrobe.
Knitting: Pullover, Cardigan
Pattern can either be done as a V-neck pullover or cardigan (seven buttons).
Knitting: Cardigan
The three colorways used in the model include ‘Camp Fire,’ ‘Ancient Pottery’ and ‘Salmon Running.’
Knitting: Cowl
Pick two different colors of Claudia Hand Painted Yarns’ Silk Lace and knit them together as one (gauge is given with the yarn doubled like this). The result is a cowl that delights every sense, especially if you keep it in a sandalwood drawer.
Knitting: Billed Hat
Influenced by a French-style hat this newsboy cap is knit in the round in Half-brioche stitch. The visor is added later, so you can make a hat without the visor, if you like.
Knitting: Gloves
The model uses ‘Tranquility.’ Claudia’s Hand Painted Yarns Finger or Fingering 55 is suggested.
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
The model shown uses 25 skeins of “Midnight,” plus one skein each of five highlight band border colors: “Plumicious,” “Red Wagon,” “Poppy,” “Chocolate Cherry” and “Purple Midnight.”
Knitting: Mittens, Mid-calf Socks
The model cap, mittens and socks were knit in two skeins each of ‘Woodland Moss.’ Note that Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Fingering 55% silk / 45% merino yarn can be substituted for the regular merino fingering yarn.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This stunning shawl is begun at the lower back point and worked up. The knitted body of it is worked in garter stitch, with wrapped short rows for shaping. The long top edge is formed with an I-cord cast-off. Much of the glory and distinction of the piece is in the crocheted border: This is where the (1,400!) beads are used, and it gives immens...
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
“The tank top is shown with a skirt knitted out of Claudia Hand Painted Yarns, using a Louet pattern named Sasha,” explains Miller McClean. “The bottom of the tank replicates the pattern repeat of the bottom tier of the skirt.” This is an exuberant summer design, cool and flattering, with shoulders exactly the right width to hide lingerie strap...
Knitting: Skirt
Ideally a skirt would be knitted in the round so you don’t have to sew up an uncomfortable seam, and you could wear it any way round (this one is). More ideally, it would be knitted top down, so you could try it on as you go and hit the perfect length (ditto). And it would be in a yarn that doesn’t pooch out, or “seat,” after you’ve sat (ditto ...
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Have the best of all possible worlds in a summer tank. Either you have a splendid basic piece, extraordinarily easy to make and with a little hem option, or you can opt for the flirty lacy border at the bottom for more visual and knitterly interest. However you begin, it’s worked circularly to the armholes, then split for front and back (which ...
Knitting: Vest, Cardigan
Knit from bottom to top, in three pieces plus two sleeves, armholes created when sewing side seams. The sample shown is in Linen yarn (5 skeins), in ‘Poppy’ colorway on size 9 needles. You can knit with or without any garter or rib to control rolling.
Knitting: Scarf
For men or women, this is one of the classiest pieces possible. And the pattern is written in a very freeform way. Because the overall fabric is ribbed, the cable will look good no matter which side it’s seen from, and the pattern itself counts on that. It’s interesting, but also almost impossible to make a mistake with it. No charts. No stress...
