Orkney, a group of islands to the north of Scotland, has its own knitting traditions. This book uses eight lace patterns used in Orkney over the years as the basis of a collection of items for you, your family and your home, Some of the lace patterns are shared with Shetland, but others seem to be found only within the islands.

This ebook contains individual patterns for:
scarf
cushion/pillow cover
stole
wrap
shawl and throw
cape

It also contains background information about how the stitch patterns were used in Orkney.

All of the items can be made in a wide variety of yarns, with needle sizes, yarn amounts and instructions for cobweb to aran weight yarns.

Note that the pattern for the scarf and for the shawl and throw are available as individual patterns.
