Riversong

From steep ravines on mountain side,
to rippling brooks, where herons hide,
past water lilies in a pond,
and birches, fern, bog and beyond.
Springtime frogs and dragonflies,

2015 Shawl Pattern Club: Riversong

The club has 5 shawl pattern installments + 1 extra surprise (yes, a 6th pattern), delivered to your library, tentative release dates:

• January 15th
• April 2nd
• June15th
• September 1st
• November 15th
• Exclusive freebie holiday surprise going out in early December

The 5 shawl patterns will all be delivered via Ravelry as an eBook. The purchase price includes the full year - 5 shawl patterns plus a lacy holiday surprise, not quite a shawl - not quite a cowl, a cowl-ette perhaps would be the best name for it…

All patterns are charted and written

The eBook subscription will be available for purchase throughout 2015, but the single patterns will not be released for sale until 2016.
The holiday surprise (your free 6th pattern) will be available for sale shortly after it is released, but is free exclusive to the club.

Some Details:
4 shawls are designed to use fingering weight yarn, using at least 400 yards, nothing itty-bitty little :)
1 shawl will be designed for heavier yarn, a sport or dk/worsted.

Are we not going to see them before, you ask? No, no I am sorry, it’s a secret until they get published and show up in your library.

But I can let you in on this much:
There will be lace (just not in lace weight yarn), and some texture, and a little color (The stripes and slipped stitches category of color).

Variety is the spice of life, they say ;)

About 2 weeks before the installment I will start a thread in my group OwlCat Designs Studio for planning, chatting, KAL thinking and I will reveal the specific yarn I used for the upcoming shawl, so that those of you that might like to get that particular yarn, get a little time to go hunt it down!

The patterns you receive will be brand new designs by me, Simone aka OwlCat Designs. For those of you who would like some company, there will be a KAL for each of the shawls in my Ravelry group!
