Norse Goddess is a collection of knitting designs made for Judith Bech’s gorgeous wedding dress in felted wool and for the big events in life. The wedding dress Swan Lake, with feathers and train, worn by model Alexandria Eissinger, with Saqqara Shawl and loose sleeves, was a vision to behold hence on the cover. The knitting patterns themselves are inspired by Norse traditions, while the silhouettes are contemporary.
A neutral color tone was chosen for all the designs so that the texture and the lines in each one became the focal point.
The collection has seven designs, initially planned and accepted by editor Mary-Ann Astrup for the Norwegian magazine ”Made by Me”, but the magazine was closed down and this e-book was published instead.
The Ekeberg Restaurant in Oslo is a functionalistic building, with a view down towards Bjørvika. It is a popular restaurant, especially for celebrating the important days in life; a perfect stark frame for our photoshoot. Photographer Eivind Røhne was chosen to capture the brilliant moments of model Alexandria Eissinger, with hair & make up by Sissel Fylling, as well as statement jewelry by Kaja Gjedebo Design.
I wish to thank this amazing team for their co-operation, as well as technical editor Corrina Fergusson, sample knitter Grete Jenssen, my test knitters - for improving the patterns - and last but not least, my husband, whose support and technical aid I could not have done without.
The e-book is available in English and in Norwegian (på norsk).
OBS! Det blir lagt til 25% MVA for mønsterkjøpere i Norge.
