Zig Path is a circular yoke sweater with a slip stitches print. It is in this particular pattern that the full beauty of hand-dyed yarn truly comes to life.
It is knit bottom up in the round, starting with the main body and 2 sleeves separately (first ribbed hem/ cuffs, then main part in print), which are then connected to work the yoke. You finish with the neckband It also features raised back (for all sizes) worked with short-rows - for anatomic fit.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS
YARN: fingering weight wool (350-380m/381-414 yds per 100g/3.5oz) Yardages per size are provided in the Sizing & Yardage table below. The sample was knit out of stock yarn Noro, which is composed of 50% cashmere and 50% silk. The yardage is 380 meters per 100 grams. Additionally, any other hand-dyed wool yarn with a similar yardage will also work well for this pattern.
NEEDLES:
• Main: 3.5/US4 (or size to get stockinette gauge) circulars on a 40-100cm/16-40” cable, depending on the size worked + DPNs or 22cm/9” circulars for the sleeves (if you prefer knitting sleeves on magic loop, use 0.25mm/ 1 US size larger needles);
• Ribbing: 3.25 mm/US 3 (or 0.5mm/2 US sizes smaller than main) circulars on same length cable as main for the hem, yoke and neckband (+ DPNs/ short circulars for the cuffs, if you prefer them to magic loop);
• Cast-on: 3mm/US2.5 (or 0.25mm/1 US size smaller than your print needles) on same cable length as the main ones for the hem (+DPNs/ short circulars for the cuffs, if you prefer them to magic loop).
NOTIONS: waste yarn / extra cable/ stitch holders, stitch markers, row counter (optional), tape measure, tapestry needle, scissors

GAUGE (PER 1010CM/ 44” AFTER WET-BLOCKING)
• Print: 29 stitches by 32 rows – on main needles
