Yukon Jacket
This pattern is found in The Colorwork Bible and cannot be purchased as an individual download. The book is available for purchase here.
This jacket’s chunky wool and flattering silhouette are perfect for the cool days of fall or winter, depending on where you live! Color possibilities are endless with a traditional colorwork yoke like this one. You can play with a darker body color and a lighter yoke or mix up the placement of the high-contrast colors (the yellow and the mint) to get a completely different look. The “lice” pattern on the body and sleeves can be omitted. This jacket is knit in the round from the bottom up and steeked upon completion. After cutting the steek, stitches are picked up on the front edges to create the buttonbands. The pockets are added afterward, if desired—but who says no to pockets?!
