Yellow Jessamine: Flowers to Knit
Original design from The Floral Knitting Book by A Lady (Groombridge and Sons, London, 1847.)
Yellow Jessamine was entirely new to me, although I am familiar with white jasmine. discovered that this small trumpet-shaped flower is the state flower of South Carolina. With photos available online, at least I had some idea of how to put this flower together! The flowers grow in clusters on a bush, but I decided to make a single blossom with several leaves and attach it to a hair barrette.
