Yao
Skills needed: Möbius cast on, knit, purl, increasing, attached I cord cast off
Description of pattern:
Yao was designed to be used with the Dinner Party series of yarn dyed by cjkoho Designs based on work by Judy Chicago celebrating the accomplishments of women in history.
It is named for Cynthia Yao, a Michigan woman who lent her expertise to developing and growing the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum and bringing a joy of science and technology to the many who have visited. I think she’d approve of the combination of the mathematically inspired Möbius paired with the low tech craft of knitting. Yao would be a perfect accessory to wear to parent teacher conferences to impress your child’s math teacher, or out to coffee with friends who will be impressed by your knitting prowess.
