Wrought Iron Tote
The sturdy, textured, reinforced Fair Isle tote bag is a nod to Paris’s decorate wrought iron work see on gates, doors, fences, and grilles from the Art Deco period.
Also needed: 1 yd (0.9 m) heavy canvas or other lining fabric; interfacing or plastic needlepoint canvas; paper (for lining pattern).
NOTE: Instructions for contrasting strap edging were omitted from pattern:
Contrasting Attached I-Cord Edging**
(worked on both edges of strap and tote)
Using smaller cir and CC and starting at strap seam,
pick up and knit 2 sts for every 3 rows along strap

using Knitted Cast-On.

needle. Rep from until all sts around edge have
been worked. Do not BO last 2 sts; break yarn,
leaving a foot-long tail, and graft these sts to beg of I-cord.
