Wondering Owl - overlay crochet
This Wondering Owl pillow can be used in many ways. It has a practical clasp with buttons and can serve not only as a pillow but also as a laptop cover or as storage for toys and clothes in a kid’s room. Due to many overlaid stitches the crocheted fabric is thick and no lining is needed.
This easy to follow pattern (15 pages) is written for one size. It contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places.
Please, read here about how to make a strap/handles to turn this pillow into a bag or backpack: http://lillabjorncrochet.blogspot.cz/2015/08/5-ways-to-us...
Crochet level: Intermediate (front post stitches are used in this pattern).
Materials: Yarn in four colors, crochet hook, scissors and tapestry needle to weave the ends in, three buttons of an appropriate size.
You can use any colors you like! I used Studio DK yarn by Deramores and 3.25 mm (D) crochet hook.
There are two copies of the pattern offered to download: one is very detailed with many pictures, and second copy is printer friendly (with written instructions only and no pictures).
